Proposed Budget Hearing

Public Notice is hereby given, in compliance with the provisions of the State Statute 13-501 to 13-513, that the governing body will meet on the 14th day of September 2021 at 9:15 o’clock, A.M. at Board of Supervisors’ Room for the purpose of hearing support, opposition, criticism, suggestions or observations of taxpayers relating to the following proposed budget.  The budget detail is available at the office of the Clerk during regular business hours.

Public Notice is hereby given, in compliance with the provisions of State Statute 77-1601.02, that the governing body will meet on the 14th day of September 2021, immediately following the budget hearing schedule at 9:15 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that meetings of the Merrick County Board of Equalization and Merrick County Board of Supervisors will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 in the County Board Meeting Room, Merrick County Courthouse, Central City, Nebraska. The Board of Supervisors meeting will begin at 9:05 a.m. The County Board of Equalization meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Both meetings are open to the public. Agendas for such meetings are kept continuously current and are available for public inspection at the office of the County Clerk in the Merrick County Courthouse during normal business hours.

Region 44 Emergency Services Coordinator
Nance County, NE is accepting applications for the position of Region 44 Emergency Services Coordinator for the Counties of Boone, Merrick, and Nance. Responsibilities will include all duties related to the 4 phases of emergency management: Mitigation, Preparedness, Response and Recovery. Manage emergency management office, budget and county level emergency management program. Additional duties will include grant management and federal disaster recovery applications. Nebraska EM certification and accomplished NIMS training will be given special consideration. Participation in the East-Central PET region is expected. Establishing a common operating picture and ICS/NIMS response program between the 15 municipalities, fire districts and law enforcement agencies is a priority. Experience working with volunteers is essential. Applicants must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language and must have the ability to legally work in the United States. This will be a county-level position with county benefits. Starting salary is commensurate with experience. Must reside within Boone, Merrick, or Nance County within 6 months.
