2023-2024 Budget Notice and Summary
Notice is hereby given that meetings of the Merrick County Board of Equalization and Merrick County Board of Supervisors will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in the County Board Meeting Room, Merrick County Courthouse, Central City, Nebraska. The County Board of Equalization meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. The Board of Supervisors meeting will begin at 9:05 a.m. Both meetings are open to the public. Agendas for such meetings are kept continuously current and are available for public inspection at the office of the County Clerk in the Merrick County Courthouse during normal business hours.

The report is now on file and available for inspection by the public at the Merrick County Clerk’s Office and the Nebraska Auditor of Public Accounts Office.

COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE
Merrick County Clerk’s office is taking applications for a
full-time office position. Hours would be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
M-F. Benefits package includes retirement, health insurance plus
paid holidays. Serious candidates must have the ability to multi
task with excellent communication skills when working with the
public and coworkers; demonstrate proficient computer, typing and
organizational skills. Property legal description and accounts

COUNTY SURVEYOR
The Merrick County Board is currently accepting applications for the
position of County Surveyor. This position involves fulfilling all
the statutory responsibilities described and defined in Nebraska
statutes for the office of the County Surveyor and may be either a
part-time or full-time basis as determined by the County
Supervisors. This position shall remain in effect until the next
duly elected County Surveyor takes office. Requirements: Any person
who is a competent registered land surveyor who is registered
pursuant to the Land Surveyors Regulation Act, whether or not a
resident of the county. Salary negotiable but shall not be subject
to Neb. Rev. Stat. Section 33-116. Benefits package includes
retirement and health insurance. Dental insurance and vision
insurance available at employee’s expense. Applications for this
